What does Shopify Payments charge?

Online domestic card rates are 2.9% plus $0.30 on Basic, 2.7% on Grow, 2.5% on Advanced and 2.25% on Plus. In-person tap rates are 2.6%, 2.5%, 2.4% and 2.3% plus $0.10.

Are premium or international cards more?

Premium cards, including AmEx, are 3.5%, 3.3%, 3.1% and 2.95% by plan. International cards add 1 percentage point to the standard rate.

What if I use an external payment gateway?

Shopify adds a third-party transaction fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow, 0.6% on Advanced and 0.2% on Plus, on top of your gateway's own fee.
